12 ARCs I wish I got in 2018

When I look back on the ARCs I was declined for I realize that I’m not that bummed out after the initial let down has long worn off. Though some of these are ARCs I missed the requesting window for. I’m thankful to some of the publishers for not approving because I have enough ARCs as it is. This list, however, is of those I still want to get, the ones that still pique my interest.

Thriller

My husband did not mean to kill Annie Doyle, but the lying tramp deserved it.

On the surface, Lydia Fitzsimons has the perfect life—wife of a respected, successful judge, mother to a beloved son, mistress of a beautiful house in Dublin. That beautiful house, however, holds a secret. And when Lydia’s son, Laurence, discovers its secret, wheels are set in motion that lead to an increasingly claustrophobic and devastatingly dark climax.

For fans of Ruth Ware and Gillian Flynn, this novel is a “seductively sinister story. The twists come together in a superbly scary denouncement, which delivers a final sting in the tail. Brilliantly macabre” (Sunday Mirror).

Add yours

  1. Four Dead Queens!!!! I am so excited to read it and I would love to have had the chance to read it early. It is going to be so much nicer to have a finished copy anyways, so I will wait. I hope that you enjoy these books when you get the opportunity to read them. 🙂

    1. The thing with finished copies is that they’re usually priced high so I’d have to wait a while until it drops for me to purchase them >.< Did you see the character cards for Four Dead Queens? Mind sharing an ARC you got denied for but still want? Another one of mine I didn't add in this list was 'Once Upon A River', apparently it's quite good!

      1. ahhh!! I got you! I have found that if I request early enough at my library for the titles I can’t afford to read, they purchase it and then I get to read it first. Just depends on your library, I guess. 😉
