Summer TBR Wipeout: Wrap Up Post

We’re at the finishing line, peeps! As some of you already know, I was hampered down with moving back to China(this time another bustling city: Guang Zhou!) and since I’m a mood-reader I wasn’t feeling like reading the ARCs on my schedule.

What have I read?

Night Rise by Anthony Horowitz

I only read one book these last two weeks, guys. ONE. And if it weren’t for the fact that it was a physical book and my sister wanted to discuss it with me I might’ve not read any! Nightrise was fun and exciting, especially when a big part of the backstory came full-circle and when Jamie, the main character, crossed over to another world(I love that kinda stuff).

Girl With A Gun doesn’t really count as I DNF-ed it. You can check out what I’ve got to say about it by clicking on the link.

What am I reading?

furyborn by claire legrand cover

Part of the reason I’m taking sooo long to finish this book is due to my lack of mood for it right now. The other reason is maybe because I can’t relate with the MCs and find them stubborn and too cocky.

What will I be reading next?

Do we need to do this part even though it’s the last post in this challenge? Nevertheless, I’ll just include it. Depending on my mood(ok, we get it. You’re moody.) it’ll be one of these books(I’ve included different genres because of this):

Head on over here to check out all the other participating bloggers’ update posts! I loved the feeling of some of us reading together as a group, gives you a warm feeling ๐Ÿ˜€ The relaxed and loose rules to this challenge greatly appealed to me. I would like to thank Candid Cover (I’m sorry, I forgot your name!) for making this challenge possible for all of us and being so generous as to host a giveaway for it!

On another note, would you want to see what ARCs I’ve got or think looks good that you can still request?

    1. Oh, thank you, Olivia! That’s such a pretty name, btw ๐Ÿ˜‰. It’s hectic, tiring and exciting moving here! As for Furyborn, I’m not holding too much hope for it as it’s been quite hard to keep reading. It’s been fun partaking in your challenge, I have to thank you for making it so relaxed!

  2. It’s really impressive that you managed to read at all while moving to China! Well done you!! A random tidbit: I was at the Guang Zhou Airport to transfer for a flight and I wish I had had a longer layover time, I might have been able to go out in the city! Other than that I have never been to China ๐Ÿ˜Š you did awesome throughout this challenge. And although I too want to read Furyborn, I have heard from loads of people that they found it hard to get into too.

  3. Lol, ikr. Thanks for all the praises!! ๐Ÿ˜ฑWhen were you in GuangZhou?? There are too many cities to visit and food to try in China, you’ll definitely find something to love!

And really?? Wow. I thought I was the only one, what with people hyping it left and right! It’s like stop-and-start for me, I think it’s cuz I can’t relate or sympathize with the MC’s choices and I don’t prefer stories where they show what’s happened and then start from the beginning(that’s only for one of the MCs). I always think ppl should read an excerpt before getting a book, especially for the hyped ones.
