Tea Tuesday #5

Life this week

My parents came back from a work trip in China and managed to bring back ALL of the items we ordered online from a Chinese shopping site! I earnestly miss the convenience of TaoBao, it’s one of the largest and most popular online shopping site in China and delivers your orders to your doorstep in 3-4 days. I got myself some clothes, photo props(pinecones), underwear, a planner and a small, foldable table. It felt like giving myself birthday presents 😛

What am I reading?

I finished book Heart of Ice and Thunderstone, #0.5 and #1 in the Legacy in Legend series by Barbara Pietron, in preparation for the upcoming blog tour.

I shall be continuing with Veiled Existence, book #2 in the YA mythological series. Stay tuned for the blog tour post on the 7th of June!

Question of the week

Which do you prefer: read blogs or watch booktube? And why?

Can you believe that I’ve never watched any booktube videos? Not that I don’t like them, it’s just that it’s never come to my mind when I’m on Youtube. Maybe I’ll go check some out after I finish writing up this post.

On top of that first questions, got any favorite booktube channels to recommend?

    1. Hahahaha! I’m totally with you there! I miss the convenience of online shopping there. Guess how much the table cost? 5 dollars.

Oh, care to share why you prefer blogs, Ver? And any fav blogs to recommend?

        1. Oh, this is the 1st time I’m hearing this preference!

Just checked out that blog. I love her banner!! And the site is nicely organized ❤ Thanks for your recommendation!

  1. I love it when I get parcels, it’s like I am treating myself 🙂 I prefer to read book blogs rather than watch them. 🙂

    1. Why, thank you! I love how snow-white it is 😀

Haha, that’s a fair point there. How do you cut to the chase with booktube reviews, right? That can be off-putting.

  2. I agree with you about booktube- that’s not the first thing I think of when I’m on youtube, and while I follow a blogger who also has a youtube channel for reviews, I rarely watch her videos, simply because I think I prefer to read people’s blogs, and it’s something I can do anytime, anywhere 🙂 great post!

        1. Haha, I’m the opposite 😛 I prefer to do videos/audios but don’t have a proper place to film. It’s faster than writing everything out but I think the editing process makes it basically the same amount of time >.< I'd love to do a podcast with atleast 2 more ppl, that'd be so fun!
