‘Sunshine’ in Chinese is ‘阳光’, pronounced as Yáng Guāng, literally meaning ‘sun light’.

Questions Posed to Me:
(Since Jay gave the liberty to choose 11 questions, I’ve gone ahead and did just that. Only one question here has been somewhat randomly selected, can you guess which?)
What animal is your patronus?
Most likely a dog, although I’m not so easily forgiving as they are.
When would you say you became a reader?
There are so many types of book scents and each kind transports me to a different point in time in my past. Does that happen to you?
Since I was a 1-year old, sitting on my potty. In all seriousness, I got hooked on reading when I was 7. The Magic Treehouse and especially A-Z Mysteries was what I looked forward to borrowing from the school’s tiny library.
What fictional world do you wish you could be a part of?
Now THAT’S a hard one. It’s either the one in The Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton, Pixie Hollow(Tinkerbell) or Harry Potter without the bad guys. Just realized that there’s a common theme here, as long as it’s cosy, safe and magical!
Would you rather be a vampire or a werewolf?
Vampire. Cuz they’re immortal and you don’t have to go through all the pain each time you morph into a werewolf, plus you don’t plow through your clothes collection like a Tasmanian Devil. Who wants that?
What was the last book series you completed?
Umm…I-Uh…*laughs sheepishly*…don’t quite remember one where I finished all the installments. It’s not that I didn’t like them, I just didn’t get to buy the whole series and then my attention shifted elsewhere. I finished most of the Alex Rider series except the 2-3 the bookshop didn’t have(shoutout to the bookshop with the cosiest atmosphere, Magrudy’s! It’s such a shame they closed that branch T_T). But if we’re being completely strict here, I’d say Harry Potter(back when I was still reading pirated books, hehe).
Aside from reading what are some of your other passions?
Crafting! With paper, beads, glass, yarn, you name it, I looooove making handcrafts. And to think the guys at Roost Books declined my ARC request for Paper Crafts Home ಥ_ಥ. I AM EXACTLY THE KIND OF READER YOU’RE LOOKING FOR.
Anyway, the other thing I like is badminton and casual cycling.
What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?
Someone told me that if you enter ‘illuminati’ backwards into the URL bar it takes you to the NSA’s website. ◎_◎
What’s your favorite genre?
I love YA, Dystopian, Fantasy and Sci-Fi equally. I like others but the operative word here is ‘favorite’ so, yeah.
What are the best and worst books you’ve ever bought?
I think people’s tastes change as they grow. Right now, I’d say the best are Gone by Michael Grant and Time Riders by Alex Scarrow. The worst is If Only You Knew by Mags Storey. Oh.My.God. Only after re-reading it a few years later did I discover how ANNOYING the protagonist was! She was insecure, stubborn, jealous, judgemental and completely wrapped up in her own world. And the other characters weren’t any better either. And her love interest was a lovesick FOOL for putting up with her for so long. At one point he says, ‘I need you, Jo. I need you like a hole in my head.’ What does that even mean??! Doesn’t that mean he did not need her?
What is something you’ve always thought ‘What if…?’ about?
What if there’s another copy of earth with humans, animals, seas―the whole she-bang, in the universe but we’ll never get to meet?
If you had to pick a book boyfriend, who would it be?
Of course it’d be Bellamy Blake from The 100. More like the TV show version of him played by Bob Morley.
Well, that was fun! Now, on to my nominees:
MY QUESTIONS TO YOU ARE:
1. Which popular choice of superpower do you dislike?
2. If you could only choose one color for all your clothes, which would it be?
3. What is a small secret that you can share with your readers?
4. If you could choose to speak any language instantly, which one would it be?
5. What is one misconception about the people of your country?
6. Choose your 3 favorite book covers.
7. Which book do you find overrated?
8. Pick and tell us the 3rd sentence on the 23rd page of the last book you’ve read or are currently reading.
9. What’s one skincare/beauty/ANY product that you’re loving right now?
10. What is one of your most nostalgic childhood memory?
11. One thing that you’re doing that’s helping the world?
It’d be so interesting to see you guys’ answers! Although, it’s your choice whether you want to do this tag.
Feel free to tell me your answer to whichever question that caught your fancy in the comments below!
