2nd Day of 2016 And Already So Much Has Happened

Dear Fabian,

This is my first letter to you. Settling on a suitable name to call you took some time. I had this picture of a wisecracking, intelligent cartoon creature with a dry sense of humour. Kind of like a talking cat with those qualities, you know the kind in stories and movies? So after going through a list of unisex names, I settled on ‘Fabian'(I was contemplating on starting out with ‘Dear Reader‘).
With the naming process out of the way, let’s get back on topic, shall we?(I hope you haven’t discarded this letter already!) My name is Vivian Grace Westerly―no, I lie. That’s not my real name. There are people out there that I don’t wish to read our correspondences, in case these letters get intercepted. There are other reasons but I can’t tell them now. But you can rest assure that whatever I do mention here is the truth.
I’m writing to tell you about my life. I need an outlet for all the thoughts that heaps up in my head. I hope you won’t mind :).
I am in my early-twenties and currently living in the humungous land of China. It’s a relatively nice place, if you aren’t too picky. But like every other place on Earth it has it’s pros and cons. Though I won’t get into that today. It’s the year 2016 now. Some people expect to feel different on the first day. I’m like, are you kidding me? It’s just another day! Some people can be so stupid so clueless.
I didn’t make any new year resolutions. The only goal I have right now is to study something online. My brain has been idle for so long that I’m actually looking forward to it! I know, it’s sad. 😀
On another note, something frustrating happened today with my crochet project. My mind must have wandered when I was crocheting, and I missed a step in the process. I had to undo an entire round(and it was a large round ). This was exactly the kind of scenario I’d tried to avoid. The only bright side is that I may be able to finish the next round with enough thread(by using a smaller crochet needle). Sorry if this sounds like old lady talk :).
My apologies for the long letter, Fabian 😁. I have so much to say but I shall keep them for another time. Please tell me if you’ve enjoyed reading this so that I’ll know whether I should continue.

Sincerely,
V. G. Westerly

To My Readers:
I’m not sure if you’ll find this entry weird but I wanted to give it a try. As you can see this is more of an introductory journal/blog entry. But I plan to reveal more about myself little by little(not my identity though 😜). Let me know of what you think in the comments section! And please excuse me if I’ve committed any grammatical errors, I’m not too sure when it comes to punctuation. Also, I have a tendency to start on a new paragraph whenever I change topics(which I do very often). But do point out any mistakes as I wish to improve my writing. Thank you so very much for reading! 🙂

  1. I really enjoyed this blog! You dont need to worry about any “mistakes” or anything like that, it was great 😀 I liked reading something different, I guess, and not the usual blog posts I do read. Keep it up!

  2. Amazing post! I find this very interesting and especially the name Fabien. Hmmmm….Fabien….now where did I come across that name?..

Don’t worry about grammatical errors etc. Even the most “perfect” writer makes mistakes. But I know, as you’ve seen (hopefully) even I do love being shown my mistakes. So far I didn’t come across any. But I fast read. So you know what that entails 😛

  3. Not a good start to the year I suppose, with mom and grandma fighting. They’ll get over it soon. It reminded me of the fight which I witnessed this morning, a few houses away from mine. A pretty common sight for me and my neighbours, which goes on for like half an hour, and then repeats again, a month or so after.
    Women!
I’m counting too many women in your family. No brothers?
You must be a very gentle and patient character, or else who’d have the sane mind to do crocheting?
You’re also very down to earth, and seem very apologetic about the stuff that you wtite. Don’t be! This is where you put it all out, and therefore don’t mind at all about what you have to say, unless of course you plan on promoting ISIS. Then don’t!
I hope the winter is not too bad, this time of the year.
362 more to go. Make it count Viv!
    Cheers.

    1. Haha 😁, I don’t know why females quarrel more often. And LOL, I find the sentence ‘ I’m counting too many women in your family.’, pretty funny 😂. But you’re right, I don’t have any brothers, only male cousins 😁.

Oh I CAN be patient, friendly and all that(I’m normally like that) but I get bouts of anger occassionally. Especially when provoked. I used to be more prone to anger in highschool but I reinvented myself when I joined a new school.

Hahahaha! I wouldn’t DREAM of backing ISIS! Them committing such atrocities while using RELIGION as an excuse for their crimes is unbelievable.

Ugh, the winter here is darn cold(for me anyways). Lowest is -5℃ today. By far one of the warmer days this week.

Thanks, systemoad, for the encouragement!! It means a lot! 😁 Good luck with your New Year, too!
